The Gulf of Oman is a strait that connects the Arabian Sea with the Persian Gulf.
It is generally included as a branch of the Persian Gulf, not as an arm of the Arabian Sea.
On the north coast is Pakistan and Iran (Persia) On the south coast are Oman in the east and United Arab Emirates for a short distance in the west.

The gulf is 200 miles (320 km) wide between Cape al-Hadd in Oman and Gwadar Bay on the Pakistan–Iran border. It is 350 miles (560 km) long and connects with the Persian Gulf to the northwest through the Strait of Hormuz.
The small ports along the gulf include Suhar, al-Khaburah, Muscat, and Sur.
